4 technology trends to follow in 2021

Lanka Business Online magazine revealed digitalization and technology trends in 2021, including:

  • Cloud software
  • Contactless engagement tools
  • Remote work and education
  • Internet of Things

We strongly believe that each business can follow them with minimum investments. Let’s see how to prepare your business for the future supported by KLOUDIP.

1. Cloud software

To make your assets connected, you install GPS trackers, sensors, or other IoT hardware in your vehicles, buildings, and machinery. Depending on where you install the devices, you can get data on how your machinery performs, where your transport is, how much electricity you spend, who enters your facility, and much more.

The company should store all the data somewhere. Traditionally, companies were buying in-house servers – which were expensive to install and administer. KLOUDIP offers cloud data storage and computing for all their solutions at no cost.

Digitalization trend 1: Cloud is the new sexy

This became possible thanks to their global data center, ensuring 99.5% stability of the software for GPS tracking, fleet management, smart homes, cities, and industries. It means that any business can now stop spending money on hosting or physical servers and start reliable cloud-based asset management.

2. Contactless engagement tools

Digitalization trend 2: The whole planet is distancing

Even before COVID-19, KLOUDIP helped businesses to control their transport and facilities remotely – without the physical presence of managers. During the lockdown, we’ve developed a set of solutions that minimizes human-to-human interactions in ordinary life. Check it out:

  • ZEON – a contactless retail delivery platform.
  • COVID-19 contact tracing software for offices and production facilities.
  • Passenger identification solutions for public and corporate transport.
  • OSTIARY – visitor management and entrance monitoring system with remote temperature monitoring option. This is one of the most notable technology trends in technologies.
  • Unauthorized vehicle use solution allowing to detect cars transporting COVID contacts.

3. Remote work and education

Digitalization trend 3: School is Zoom

It’s hard to face the unknown; that’s why relatively few people clearly understand the benefits of GPS tracking, fleet management, and the Internet of Things. During the lockdown, KLOUDIP launched a series of webinars and online training sessions for those who want to master telematics and IoT software to change the game. The company continues giving free consulting on connecting assets to the IoT. Schedule here.

Meanwhile, KLOUDIP also developed an online customer portal, where the clients could contact tech support and personal managers, work with documents, make payments, and much more. The portal made in-person meetings unnecessary even after the lockdown, as the clients got used to it entirely.

4. The Internet of Things

Digitalization trend 4: Connected things

Ten years ago, KLOUDIP started by providing GPS tracking and fleet management services. In 2019, the company developed HAZER – the sensor and counter management solution, bringing businesses to the Internet of Things. With this solution, companies can control any facility, machinery, mechanism, plug, or door – just any asset or item where a sensor or counter can be installed. Here are the most frequently controlled parameters in:

  • Temperature and humidity variations
  • Unauthorized access
  • Human temperature readings
  • Energy consumption and power cuts
  • CO2 levels
  • Water leaks
  • Backup generator status and diesel level
  • Real-time video from mobile CCTVs on-site

In HAZER 2.0, the developers added an option to manage sensors automatically, not involving humans. To put it simply, if a sensor value changes, it can trigger the actions of other sensors automatically. For example, if a sensor shows that the temperature in a freezer rises, HAZER will change the freezer mode to a lower temperature range without human involvement. The above means automatic temperature adjustments thanks to IoT algorithms. All the above doesn’t demand code, but a few clicks.

All in all, you can control more than 1000 parameters through sensors and counters. And the best thing is that HAZER offers big data analytics on an ordinary laptop or smartphone.

Digitalization brings cost-saving, competitive advantages, remote management opportunities, and becomes a must in the world of today. As digitalization enthusiasts, we are ready to support such an initiative in any type of business. Contact us here for a free consultation and start following technology trends!
