Have you heard about the Internet of Things and telematics? Maybe. Do you think it has anything to do with your business? Hardly. Here are just a few examples of how you can use a sensor monitoring system:
HAZER – the sensor monitoring system – brings all these and a thousand more sensors on a single screen of your laptop or smartphone (we wrote about it some time ago). HAZER 2.0 makes the process of sensor and counter monitoring even more efficient and convenient. And here’s why.
HAZER mobile app becomes HAZER Mobile Pro! It means that the most powerful sensor monitoring system starts running at full capacity on your mobile.
Whether you track sensors on complicated equipment, in buildings, vehicles, or facilities, now you can do it on the smartphone. If there are dozens of sensors and facilities to control, share responsibilities with other employees – user roles from the HAZER Web platform now work in HAZER Mobile Pro.
If something happens with your assets or sensors show critical values, the HAZER platform sends alerts to dispatchers. With HAZER Mobile Pro you can get push notifications on your smartphones.
If sensors are installed in moving assets – vehicles, construction machinery, or humans – HAZER Mobile Pro allows tracking their location on the map. It means that if critical sensor values occur, you can track the location of your asset and take action immediately. Thanks to the new track and trace option, with HAZER Mobile Pro you get two solutions – for IoT device management and GPS tracking.
For example, you can use HAZER Dashboard to monitor sensors in stationary objects and HAZER Maps to track vehicles in real-time. Find HAZER Mobile Pro in the App Store and Google Play and request a live demo through the link in the first comment to this post.
HAZER Dashboard is your control center available on any PC, laptop, or smartphone.
It looks just like your PC desktop, but with colored sensor widgets instead of icons. It shows all your sensors on one screen individually or grouped by type (temperature, fuel), location (vehicle, building), and any criteria you set. Sensor values are updated in real-time, and the widgets change colors in case of critical variations.
One Dashboard lets you control any number of buildings and vehicles without special equipment and expensive screens.
Now it’s super easy to configure your sensor monitoring system workspace – most of the actions are done within a few clicks.
Need to reorganize sensor widgets and their groups? Just drag and drop any element.
Need to focus on specific sensors and their groups? Just minimize other tabs on the Dashboard.
IoT workspace management takes minutes instead of hours, even if you see HAZER for the first time.
In most cases, each facility and fleet has a particular manager/dispatcher who controls all processes on a separate Dashboard of the sensor monitoring system. What happens when you need multiple Dashboards for different people?
In HAZER 1.0:
Option 1. The top manager creates multiple Dashboards – one for each facility. All managers get access to the top manager’s account and access individual Dashboards from there.
Unfortunately, if one manager accidentally edits or deletes something on another Dashboard, it can mess up the whole control center.
Option 2. Each manager creates a Dashboard for a specific facility and works under a separate account.
Unfortunately, it decentralizes the management system and wastes a top manager’s time, who has to switch between multiple accounts every time.
In HAZER 2.0, one can create multiple Dashboards under one account and share them with particular managers.
That way, one manager doesn’t have access to the other managers’ facilities and fleets and can’t interfere in their activities. Simultaneously, the top manager has instant access to the sensors, alerts, notifications, and reports from all fleets and buildings.
The above saves everyone’s time on repetitive tasks associated with creating Dashboard and widgets, while centralized access enhances data security.
Widgets are how you see sensors on your Dashboard. In HAZER 1.0, the widgets looked like colored bricks showing sensor values in real-time – temperature, humidity, water level, door opening, etc.
Thanks to the new look and enhanced UI, you can create the IoT Dashboard that looks and feels like you are using specialized industrial screens.
In HAZER 2.0, widgets perform more than just a visualization function. Now you can interact with widgets on your smartphone or laptop to control machinery and buildings remotely – switch on/off the generator, control HVAC within the building, and much more.
In addition to colored bricks, the developers added new widget types:
1. Linear gauge
It may be useful for those who monitor temperature, fuel level, electricity consumption, or other parameters that should be within permissible limits.
2. Radial gauge
It has the same use patterns as a linear gauge. It’s commonly used to control speed, RPM, pressure, water, and much more.
HAZER 2.0 got new report templates based on the most popular implementation patterns – temperature monitoring, footfall count, and energy consumption. It means that if you control one of the three parameters, report configuration is no more needed – the report templates are pre-set in the system.
It is used by ice cream manufacturers, FMCG transporters, and pharmaceutical companies. The report shows temperature variations at any given period and threshold value excesses. Depending on the additional equipment, HAZER 2.0 also indicates why the temperature variations take place.
HAZER 2.0 is also integrated with the visitor management solution and digital visitor counters. If a retail facility, office, production site, or some restricted area wants to know how many people visited their place, when, and who they were, what was their body temperature, HAZER has a predefined report for that. Businesses get instant analytics instead of long-time configuration.
Businesses use a HAZER sensor monitoring system to track electricity. That’s why added pre-configured reports for energy management.
In this report, you can see consumed KwH at your home, factory, warehouse, office, or any other facility. But the most exciting thing is that HAZER 2.0 automatically calculates the electricity price based on current tariffs in the country.
To view this or any other types of reports, it’s unnecessary to log in to HAZER. The platform will send you the reports via email based on the schedule you define.
The sensor monitoring system sends notifications to users’ browsers and smartphones if something happens in one of the controlled facilities.
HAZER 2.0 can solve problems with your facilities and vehicles without human involvement.
Notifications can trigger different actions over a vehicle, machinery, or area where the sensors are installed. For example, if the office temperature rises above a particular level, HAZER will automatically turn on the ACs. If the temperature increases in a warehouse or reefer truck, HAZER will switch the refrigerator to colder mode.
In HAZER 2.0, you can configure which user should receive the notifications, both on your laptop and smartphone.
More notifications don’t mean more control, but more information noise. Successful management starts with the right people receiving proper notifications. And HAZER 2.0 allows you to achieve it perfectly.
To keep track of all events, HAZER 2.0 offers a notifications log.
HAZER shows which notification triggered, when, and what time the user read it. This will allow you to evaluate
As HAZER becomes a centralized control point for all your buildings, machinery, and vehicles, more and more people are becoming involved in working with the platform. For effective user management, there should be a well-defined user hierarchy and properly distributed access rights.
To prevent this from happening, the manager should check the new user configuration before he starts working to the full.
To create a structured hierarchy, HAZER offers three types of user roles.
The user with manager rights is able to do everything with HAZER:
The user with limited persimmons:
The user with “Read-only rights” generally applied to workers. Operators can view shared dashboards, receive notifications, generate reports, and schedule reports.
HAZER tracks and saves all actions that users perform within the system.
That way, managers can track employees’ tasks, work time, effectiveness, and even IP-based location through informative but straightforward logs.
HAZER relieves managers from routine tasks of informing the users about their accounts and sharing login, password, and email confirmation links with them. The system does it automatically as soon as the new user is created.
HAZER can also send the email to a manager’s email, or to the email of anybody who should be informed of the new user. Why would anyone do it?
Too much is not always for the good. Too many users, dashboards, ungrouped sensors, etc. means more information noise for the managers.
In HAZER managers can set limits for user accounts, pre-determining what and to what extent a user can do. Centralized management helps to preserve efficient account structure throughout all changes that one makes.
By now you have:
Beautifully designed workspaces called Dashboards.
All sensors and counters are represented just like in specialized software and conveniently grouped.
Flawless account structure relieves your managers from the information noise.
Why not make the solution your own to the end?
HAZER offers the option. Admin users can replace the HAZER logo with the corporate logo of their company. Thanks to that, you get an in-house solution that will also promote your brand among employees or your clients.
